The Art Of Describing Us

As the author says, “We do all the needed, the efforts, the sacrifice, the wait, the love just to make those two distinct – He & She to – Us.”

Scene 1: The Shared Desk 🖊

She sits across me, the pen dancing in her hand, papers scattered like fragments of thought.

I steal glances, not to disturb, but to remind myself how blessed I am to share this little universe of work with her.

—almost like that scene in La La Land where love quietly grows between unfinished dreams and cluttered worktables.

The journey in which we are travelling together, together that really means "Us".

Her first words are always for me: “Had your lunch?” 🍴

Mine are always for her: “Are you okay?” 💭

It feels less like work, more like a promise

Two people carrying each other’s day.

It's the feeling I or she can't express that easily,

But it's all about feeling and loving those moments.

This is something not about me or her, it's about "Us".

Scene 2: The Bike Ride 🏍💨

The road stretches endlessly,

but all I feel is her presence behind me.

Her hands wrap around me, not just holding, but anchoring.

The wind roars, her laughter cuts through it,

and suddenly the journey matters more than the destination.

—just as in Tamasha, where the ride itself becomes the story, and freedom feels fuller because it is shared.

Every turn feels lighter, every mile feels like freedom,

because she is with me.

Scene 3: Hanging Out 🌆☕

No plans. No big places. No need.

A roadside tea stall, paper cups warm in our hands ,

conversations drifting from silly to soulful.

People pass, unaware.

But I know this,

The world pauses when we sit together.

Ordinary benches turn sacred,

because they hold us.

Scene 4: The Unknown Place 🌌🌿

We wander until we stumble into somewhere nameless.

An alley glowing faintly under old lamps,

a bench under a tree where no one comes,

a forgotten corner the city itself had abandoned.

And yet, it feels like home.

Not because of the place,

but because she is next to me.

Scene 5: Putting Her First 💙🤲

She dreams, I listen.

She laughs, I fall silent just to hear more.

Her happiness comes before mine,

not as duty, but as instinct.

like in The Notebook, where love survives not in grand speeches but in the selfless act of placing the other before yourself.

There is no me without her in the thought.

Every act of care, every little gesture,

is just love learning to put itself second.

Closing Frame 🌹

If someone asks me what “us” means,

I won’t show them rings or promises written on paper.

I’ll show them these moments:

a shared desk, a bike ride, a cup of tea,

an unknown place, and a love that always puts her first.

Because the art of describing us

isn’t about words at all,

it’s about the way the world feels

when it becomes ours.

Raj Patel, Signing off!!

Trying & Trying to make that us!!

💭 Question for you, dear reader:

Have you ever found an ordinary moment with someone that felt extraordinary, like the world paused just to frame you two together?
